learning process. One of the learning process that cannot be separated from
human life is language learning. English is one language that is widely used
throughout the world and is an international language. English is very
appropriate to be used as a second language.

to Purbo (in Prihatna, 2005) the internet is basically a medium that is used to
streamline the communication process that is connected through various
applications such as Web, VoIP, E-mail. Meanwhile, according to Oetomo (2002) the
internet is an abbreviation or abbreviation of the international network, which

used to communicate with friends and family from far away to keep in touch with
us, online shopping, watching videos on the internet while relaxing, or find
the latest news and so on. But if the internet is used in learning English how
it works? The internet works as a source of expertise with institutions such as
study centers, teachers, editors and others. Documentary sources include online
dictionaries, media, bibliography, documents for teachers and students. Sources
for learning such as interactive exercises, supplementary books, and group
learning activities (virtual campus). And the source of publishing is the
publishing of personal or collective manuscripts, both those already on the
internet or not.
Form
the way of works that has been mentioned, the internet is very helpful for
teachers and students who are learning languages such as English. The another’s
advantages is we can communicate with people all around the world and other
country using social media such as Facebook and Twitter, we can Send and
receive message through electronic mail generally we call e-mail without the
need of a postage stamp. In internet we can also using search engine like
Google and internet explorer to find a website with an answer what do we want
to know in no time, there also millions or more of videos on sites usually
people will find it on Youtube that can help explain various topic and many
different subjects.
Through
the internet, shopping becomes easier because of the many websites that selling
varieties of product online we can visit, such as Lazada, Shopee, Tokopedia,
Zilingo and many more. E-commerce has got a facilities because of the internet
and entire global business deals can be conducted over the internet.
However,
for all its advantages and positive aspect, internet has the disadvantages too.
Some student will spend too much time through the internet. Student are likely
to neglect their studies. Student might lose concentrate on their studies
because they spent too much time on internet, some of them can’t even divide
their time to do homework. Children nowadays seem losing their ability to
communicate with others, they are used to communicate with others via internet
but they cannot communicate with others face to face fluent, it was strange
sight that internet had make people losing their ability to communicate. It is
because people now here over depending on internet.
With
a large amount of information freely available on the internet, theft and
misuse is likely possibility. Sometimes you see cases of people using someone
else information and research and passing it off as their own. This is possibly
an illegal action, but people seems feel it free to copy other work, because no
one can know their action.
Conclusion
The
internet can really help students in learning a language or an subject with the
advantages that exist, not only makes it easier to get inspiration learning the
internet also makes it easier for humans to carry out activities such as remote
education, sending messages or letters, or shopping all on the internet. Internet
usage actually depends on each individual whether he or she is ready to accept
the arrival of the internet or not. Because if they have then they will get the
excess advantages of the internet, if not then they only get the disadvantages
of the internet.
